Postponed - Conference on Diaspora Partnership for Sustainable Development in Northern & Eastern Uganda

                CONFERENCE POSTPONED 

As you maybe aware, floods have devastated Northern and Eastern Uganda. Many homes and crops have been washed away, a number of people have died and most of the region, especially Teso, has been cut off from the rest of Uganda. The Ugandan government, Members of Parliament, INGOs and NGOs are responding to this humanitarian crisis.

Conference: Diaspora Partnership for Sustainable Development in Northern & Eastern Uganda

In response to the significant development needs of the communities in the Northern and Eastern sub-regions of Uganda and the considerable challenges this poses, Iteso Welfare Association (IWA - UK) in partnership with Connections for Development (CfD), has organised a conference to bring together all stakeholders to explore potential partnerships to maximize development efforts in the two sub-regions.

You are invited to this event that will take place on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at the King’s Fund in London, beginning at 9.30am for registration.
