We encourage users of the Connections for Development (CfD) online forum to contribute freely, as long as they do so in a responsible fashion and show respect for others. Comments posted in the Forum may, at our discretion be edited or removed, without any further comment or notice to you. Due to the real-time nature of the Forum, it is not possible for us to continually monitor, assess and review all content within them. Therefore, we cannot accept any responsibility for material posted, nor guarantee the accuracy or validity of any statement or material used. All messages posted are the express views of the author and not of Connections for Development. In particular, users of the Forum should note the following:
- No profanity or obscenities of any kind, even disguised with asterisks or other symbols.
- No personal attacks on other participants.
- The following types of remarks or comments are not permitted: (i) Defamatory, abusive or insulting; (ii) Racist or morally offending; (iii) Obscene, indecent or lewd; (iv) Pornographic; (v) Violent, threatening or harassing; (vi) Any other material that may disrupt or vandalise the service.
- Do not stray from the discussion topic.
- No impersonation of other participants or public figures.
- No third party copyright material should be posted. Use links instead of quotes from sources rather than copying the material.
- Users are to refrain from collecting or storing any personal data or other information about other users.
- There is a strict prohibition on any posting or transmission of any file or program that causes damage, contamination or other consequence that adversely affects another's operating system. Such transmissions or postings include, but are not limited to, viruses, corrupted files or other electronic carriers such as "Trojan Horses".
- Users shall not post or transmit that which they do not have a right to post or transmit under law or agreement. This may include, but is not limited to, copyright or other intellectual property rights, trade secrets, confidentiality agreements or contracts.
Violation of any of these rules will result in consequences determined on a case-by-case basis, but could result in suspension of the member from using the Forum or an outright ban.
In the event that you do experience any material that is offensive to you or other users, or in breach of any of these rules, please report the matter immediately to the Membership Support Officer at sarah@cfdnetwork.co.uk.
CfD reserves the right to change and amend these rules from time to time and without warning. All users are advised to regularly check the rules to ensure continued proper use of the online forum. Continued use amounts to acceptance of the rules.
