DFID Uganda's medium term strategic direction - Public Consultation

06/08/2008

DFID Uganda is developing a more focused programme that is intended to achieve greater synergy across the DFID Uganda country programme, become clearer about DFID Uganda’s comparative advantage and define how to better work strategically with others. This is intended to prepare DFID to be fit for the changing development context, make best use of DFID resources in Uganda and to respond to the needs of the people in Uganda.

As part of DFID's consultation process they are inviting comments and views from people and organisations with an interest in DFID and global development issues. Your views and ideas will be very helpful to enable DFID to make sure they are moving in the right direction.

DFID does not supply any supporting information, but set out 6 questions that they would like respondents to consider. You can find these question by following the link here.

You can send your individual views on these questions, or any other points or comments you wish to make by 12 September 2008 to DFIDUganda-CAP2008@dfid.gov.uk. However, CfD believes that a collective response from members and other stakeholders could carry more significance and, therefore, we will be arranging meetings amongst members and other stakeholders to consider the questions posed by DFID. These will result in a collective response that CfD will submit to DFID. We will keep to posted as to where and when these will take place.

We have also opened up a forum on DFID Uganda's medium term strategic direction. Members and non-members alike can enter this forum, after registration, and we would welcome any comments, questions and views that we will also compile and add to the collective resonse. If you would like to post your views on the public forum, please click on Public Discussion Forum on the left hand menu and follow the instruction.
