In response to the significant development needs of the communities in the Northern and Eastern sub-regions of Uganda and the considerable challenges this poses, Iteso Welfare Association (IWA - UK) in partnership with Connections for Development (CfD), has organised a conference to bring together all stakeholders to explore potential partnerships to maximize development efforts in the two sub-regions.
You are invited to this event that will take place on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at the King’s Fund in London, beginning at 9.30am for registration.
This conference presents an excellent opportunity for organisations and individuals to share perspectives and experiences about the necessity of partnerships for development in Northern and Eastern Uganda, and to have input into the development of a Position Paper that will aim to influence DFID’s Uganda Country Strategy and the Government of Uganda's policy and work regarding Northern and Eastern Uganda, and to potentially open up new funding streams to facilitate partnership working.
