The
Equitable Charitable Trust
The
Equitable Charitable Trust is an education charity. It makes grants of around £1million each year
towards projects for children and young people under the age of 25 who are from
disadvantaged backgrounds or disabled in the UK, as well as in developing
countries.
Grants
made by the Trust fall into 3 broad categories;
- Education
projects that will help increase participation in, or improve the quality
of, education for disadvantaged or disabled children and young people in
developing countries.
- Education
projects or services that support the learning and development of disabled
children and young people in the UK.
- Education
projects for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK
particularly those that support delivery of the National Curriculum or
vocational learning opportunities.
Grants
can be made for capital project costs, capital expenditure, equipment and /or
salary costs of a post.
The
new guidelines were published on 12th December 2008. Please check that you have read the most up
to date before submitting your application.
The
size of the grants range from £2,500 to £30,000. The Trust does not have an application form,
but recommends that organisations follow the guidelines outlined on their
