CfD along with four partner organisations, namely CIDAC (Portugal), COSPE (Italy), FORIM (France) and Initiatives 21 Belgique (Belgium), have been brought together by Institute Panos Paris to deliver the Informing on Development and Migration! (IDEM) project.
The overarching objective of the IDEM! Project is to promote better public understanding of contemporary international migration issues, their impact on development and the interdependencies existing between the European Union and developing countries, by the production and dissemination of up to date information.
The project has four specific objectives:
Objective 1 – Identify and analyse existing research and facilitate complementary studies on immigrants, their organisations and the impacts of their practices on development processes.
Objective 2 – Produce and disseminate illustrated media digests on international migrations and their impacts on development dynamics.
Objective 3 – Encourage media coverage of international migration and its impacts, in order to stimulate and guarantee greater pluralism of viewpoints.
